Joyce Murphy-Gale Biography
Joyce Murphy-Gale graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1978, with a BA in studio art. She worked as a commercial and freelance artist for eight years with companies in South Carolina and Florida, before beginning a graphic art business in North Carolina.
In 1989, she moved with her family to New England where she continued to work as a free-lance artist and designer. Her work included portraits, commercial design and commissioned artwork.
In the fall of 2006, Murphy-Gale began Unique Ewe using recycled garments and materials to create one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, ecologically friendly clothing for women and children. These items are currently being sold in stores and boutiques throughout the Northeast.
